Author guidelines for manuscript preparation and guidelines

These guidelines provide instructions for preparing manuscripts for submission to Scholar Publishing Academy’s journals, books, proceedings, and other contributions. Adherence to these guidelines is crucial for efficient processing and timely publication.

Part 1: Manuscript Structure and Content:

A. Order of Material: The manuscript should follow this order:

  1. Title Page: Include the title (concise and informative), author(s) names and affiliations (with complete addresses and email addresses), corresponding author information, and any acknowledgements of funding sources.
  2. Abstract: A concise summary (typically 150-250 words) highlighting the key findings and contributions of your work. Use keywords to aid indexing and searchability (provide 5-6 keywords).
  3. Keywords: List 5-6 keywords that accurately reflect the content of your manuscript.
  4. Introduction: Clearly state the research question(s) or problem addressed, provide relevant background information, and outline the scope and objectives of the study.
  5. Literature Review: Critically review existing literature relevant to your research, highlighting gaps in knowledge and the contribution of your work.
  6. Methodology: Describe the research methods used in detail and in a rigorous, ensuring reproducibility. This section should include information on participants, materials, procedures, data analysis techniques, and ethical considerations (if applicable).
  7. Results: Present the findings of your research clearly and objectively, using tables and figures where appropriate. Avoid interpreting the results in this section; this will be addressed in the discussion.
  8. Discussion: Interpret the results, discussing their implications and limitations. Relate your findings to previous research and highlight any unexpected or novel findings.
  9. Conclusion: Summarize the key findings and their significance, making clear concluding statements.
  10. Appendices (if applicable): Supplementary materials, such as detailed data tables, questionnaires, or lengthy proofs, should be included in appendices. Number appendices sequentially (Appendix A, Appendix B, etc.).
  11. References: All references must adhere to the specified citation style (APA). Maintain consistency throughout the manuscript.

 

B. Writing Style and Formatting:

  1. Language: The manuscript must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct language. Manuscripts in English and Arabic are accepted depending on the Journal.
  2. Font: Use a standard, legible font such as Times New Roman, Arial, or Calibri (12-point font size). For Arabic submissions authors need to use simplified Arabic.
  3. Spacing: Double-space the entire manuscript, including the abstract, references, tables, and figures.
  4. Margins: Maintain consistent margins (typically 1 inch on all sides).
  5. Headers and Footers: Include a running head (abbreviated title) on each page including author names.
  6. Page Numbers: Number all pages consecutively.
  7. Tables and Figures: All tables and figures must be clearly labeled, numbered consecutively, and referred to in the text. Ensure high-resolution images. Provide captions below each table and figure including citations where applicable.
  8. Headings and Subheadings: Use consistent heading styles (e.g., Level 1, Level 2, etc.) to structure your manuscript.
  9. Citation and Referencing: Follow the specified citation style meticulously. Include all cited works in the reference list and vice versa. For Arabic submissions, the authors to need to separate the Arabic and English references used, and to translate any Arabic references to English.

Part 2: Permissions and Copyright:

A. Copyright: Authors retain copyright of their work but grant the publisher exclusive rights for publication and distribution. A copyright transfer agreement will be provided upon acceptance and needs to be signed by the corresponding author.

B. Permissions: Obtain written permission from copyright holders for any material reproduced from other sources (including figures, tables, and text). Provide evidence of permissions with submission.

Part 3: Submission Process:

A. File Submission: Submit the manuscript electronically as a single file in the required format (doc, .docx, .pdf).

B. Checklist: Complete the submission checklist to confirm you have followed all guidelines. You are encouraged to submit a cover page highlighting the originality, significance and rigor.

C. Review Process: The manuscript will undergo double blind peer review process. The editor will notify the author(s) of the decision through the submission system.

D. Revisions: If revisions are requested, make them promptly and resubmit the revised manuscript within the specified timeframe. Revisions could be either minor or major.
